Ford Announces Tesla Supercharger Adapter Availability for Lightning and Mach-E Customers

ree

Last year, Ford announced a partnership allowing its EV customers access to Tesla Superchargers across the U.S. and Canada starting in Spring 2024. The Fast-Charging Adapter will grant Ford F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E owners access to Tesla’s V3 and above Superchargers.

Ford joins a wave of automakers planning to adopt Tesla's North American Charging Standard for their new EVs. The transition to NACS charge ports will begin in 2025, eliminating the need for adapters to access Tesla Superchargers. As the first automaker to distribute adapters to customers, Ford extends its commitment to Tesla’s standardized charging system.

All current Lightning and Mach-E owners are eligible for a free adapter, validated by their vehicle identification number (VIN), with Ford covering shipping costs. Typically retailing for $230, this complimentary adapter offers enhanced access to over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers, doubling fast charging availability across the U.S. and Canada.
